Job summary

Public Consulting Group seeks an Instructor to deliver direct instruction to students in communication, life skills, and pre-employment skills.

The instructor collaborates with a consultant to identify and increase a student’s strengths, interests, and abilities related to employment skills acquisition and job development; and ensures that students learn competitive, marketable skills during work experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching employability skills.
• Ability to work with students to identify strengths, interests, and abilities related to employment skills.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the learning strengths and development areas of the student; set goals and outcomes.
• Instruct students on employability skills (communication, technology, problem solving, teamwork, resume writing, interview skills, etc.).
• Assist students in developing portfolios with certificates and recommendations.
• Use approved materials and adaptations to meet individual needs; track attendance and progress.
• Maintain daily notes on student progress and communicate with consultant and worksite supervisors as needed.
