Job summary

Amazon’s Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction team seeks an innovative Pre-Construction Manager Intern in Bellevue, WA. The role combines on-site preconstruction work with field exposure on large industrial projects, offering collaboration with architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

You’ll support site selection, design coordination, permitting, and budgeting while gaining hands-on experience and contributing to project milestones across the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• Able to work on-site at Amazon’s Bellevue, WA office.
• Part-time availability (20 hours/week) Spring 2027 and full-time (40 hours/week) Summer 2027.
• Travel up to 80% in summer to project sites and offices nationwide.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Support industrial preconstruction activities from site selection to design completion and permitting.
• Assist with scope development, design coordination, and AHJ regulatory approvals.
• Track KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
• Assist in budgeting, conceptual estimating, and pricing reviews.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction and other stakeholders.
• Prepare project status updates and support risk reporting to leadership.
