Job Title: Project Manager – Wastewater ConstructionJob Description

This role oversees and directs wastewater construction projects from initial concept through successful completion. The Project Manager reviews plans and specifications, estimates costs, manages schedules, and coordinates all activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The position focuses heavily on project management and estimation work for wastewater projects, combining office-based planning with close collaboration across project stakeholders and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct wastewater construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring all phases align with project goals and standards.

  • Review specifications and construction drawings to determine equipment, material, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.

  • Confer and coordinate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work procedures that prevent delays and ensure full compliance with project specifications and drawings.

  • Conduct in-depth project reviews to develop detailed schedules for deliverables and to estimate project costs accurately.

  • Select and order tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring delivery at specified times to conform to established work schedules, and track inventory throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure all contractual conditions of performance are met and identify, document, and manage change order work as it arises.

  • Monitor work progress on a daily basis, proactively identifying issues and adjusting plans to keep the project on track.

  • Prepare clear and timely internal and external reports pertaining to job status, including progress updates, risks, and mitigation actions.

  • Plan ahead to prevent problems, anticipate potential obstacles, and resolve emerging issues quickly and effectively.

  • Provide general personnel management related to the project, including coordination of teams and support of a productive work environment.

  • Negotiate terms of agreements with relevant parties, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses for project execution.

  • Liaise regularly with the project owner and engineer to maintain a positive working relationship and ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.

  • Develop and refine construction techniques that reduce costs and improve overall project quality and efficiency.

  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks while maintaining high-quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.

  • Utilize surveying equipment as needed to support accurate layout, measurement, and quality control during construction.

  • Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to reflect project realities and constraints.

Pay and Benefits
