Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our water resources team in South Bend, IN. Ideal for graduates with 0-3 years of experience pursuing a professional engineering career in water/wastewater infrastructure.

You will perform standard engineering tasks, support fieldwork, review drawings, coordinate with contractors, and interact with government agencies under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Ecological Engineering.
• 0-3 years of Civil Engineering experience, with Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, and Stormwater/Drainage exposure.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 (transcripts verification).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in drainage, civil design, grading and stormwater management.
• Graduate degree is a plus; FE (EI) exam is preferred.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

The office environment is laid back but can become deadline-intensive at times. There is a strong emphasis on a family feel and a team-oriented culture. Dress code is business casual. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There are options for compressed work weeks, allowing for a half-day on Fridays. The office provides a blend of in-office work and fieldwork, offering a balanced start to your career.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
