Job summary

A rapidly growing infrastructure company is seeking a Pre-construction Manager to take large technical facility projects from initial concept through to buyout, setting up successful delivery before construction begins.

You will lead constructibility reviews across electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil design, focus on high density power distribution and advanced cooling systems, and build scope packages, RFPs, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading pre-construction on large projects or mission-critical facilities.
• Hands-on constructibility reviews, including high density power and cooling systems.
• Track record producing estimates and explaining variances against actuals.
• Experience running competitive bids or negotiated buyouts on major trade packages.
• Site due diligence including geotechnical work, utilities, zoning and permitting.
• Understanding of long lead equipment and utility interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Manager

A rapidly growing infrastructure company is looking for a Pre-construction Manager to take large technical facility projects from initial concept through to buyout, setting up successful delivery before construction begins.

What you'll do:

• Lead constructibility reviews across electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil design, with a focus on high density power distribution and advanced cooling systems
• Evaluate potential sites (power, utilities, civil conditions, phasing) and translate findings into schedule and cost impact
• Build scope packages and RFPs, manage GC pre-construction services, and negotiate with landlords and contractors
• Lead cost estimation from concept through GMP, validated against market data
• Prepare handoff documentation for the construction team and support contract and risk discussions

What you'll need:

• Proven experience personally leading pre-construction, from concept through buyout, on large scale or mission critical projects
• Hands on constructibility review experience, ideally including high density power and cooling systems
• A track record of producing estimates and explaining variance against real project costs
• Experience running competitive bids or negotiated buyouts on major trade packages
• Site due diligence experience: geotechnical, utilities, zoning, permitting
• Understanding of long lead equipment and utility interconnection processes
• Strong cross functional coordination skills across design, construction, and procurement teams

Bonus:

large scale mission critical facility experience, modular or prefabricated delivery

Compensation:

Base salary from $190K to $240K DOE, plus meaningful equity (with flexibility for exceptional candidates)

Location:

Texas preferred; limited remote flexibility for the right candidate
