Job summary

Whitaker Construction is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to provide direction for business development, estimating and sales activities in the assigned area. You will coordinate the pre-construction team, review bids, and ensure estimates meet budgetary goals.

The role reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction and supports operations across Utah, Idaho, and surrounding states. You will lead takeoffs, cost history analyses, and field collaboration to improve bid quality and project

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years construction estimating experience.
• Experience leading teams is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract processes from proposal to contracts.
• Prepare detailed estimates using takeoffs and past cost history.
• Support project teams with performance goals and pre/post job reviews.
• Coordinate pre-construction efforts across the area and supervise pre-construction staff.
• Establish and monitor budgets and communicate bid details to field personnel.
