Job summary

Willmeng Construction Inc. seeks an experienced Precon Manager in the Salt Lake City area to lead preconstruction and bidding efforts. You will review plans, prepare pricing, and manage the bid process with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in preconstruction or estimating, strong BIM and Office skills, and a track record of accurate budgets and timely bids across varied project sizes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating roles.
• Proficiency with OnScreen Takeoff, Excel macros, and estimating software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, methods, and principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships as the primary owner-facing representative.
• Develop conceptual budgets with minimal input and detailed estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and internal teams to refine budgets.
• Operate independently and take ownership of all tasks.
• Present budgets to clients and manage bid processes with deadlines.
