Responsibilities

• Assist Pre-construction Managers with information procurement and bid preparation.
• Assist in preconstruction training and scheduling.
• Develop strategies for new business development and procurement of client relationships.
• Establish and maintain client relationships.
• Procure documents, plans, and specs and assemble proposals and presentations.
• Participate in preconstruction strategies and proposals.
• Create clear scopes of work for subcontractor bids.
• Prequalify and vet subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain subcontractor data base.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and client negotiations with the Preconstruction Department head.
• Analyze project risk factors.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and quotations.
• Learn company estimating software and procedures.
• Maintain estimating records and assist handoff to Construction.
• Provide marketing material support.
• Canvass market for new construction and renovation projects.
• Contact owners/architects/engineers to generate leads.
• Distribute marketing materials to potential clients.
• Coordinate bid proposals and ensure all forms are completed.
• Act as liaison for bid bonds, sureties, and insurance.
• Collaborate with estimators on project and bid proposals.
• Document control of drawings and amendments during bids.
• Review proposals for completeness.
