Job summary

Tract seeks a skilled Pre-Construction Engineer to support large-scale civil infrastructure and land development projects from feasibility through construction handoff. You will help with due diligence, design coordination, budgeting, and procurement.

The role requires 2+ years in preconstruction or related fields and proficiency with eBuilder, Bluebeam, and Autodesk. Seattle-area candidates are encouraged to apply; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in preconstruction, estimating, design management, or vendor management on large commercial, industrial, civil infrastructure, or land development projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with requests for proposals, bidding, scope leveling, constructability reviews, cost analysis, and consultant/trade partner coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence and early-stage project planning, including site feasibility and permitting pathways.
• Coordinate design and development of projects, including site layout, grading, road design, and utilities.
• Develop budgets, takeoffs, estimate comparisons, and cost models to support underwriting and decision-making.
• Lead cost optimization, value engineering, and constructability reviews throughout due diligence and design progression.
• Prepare requests for proposals and assist with procurement and contracts for consultants and partners.
