Job summary

Columbia University School of Professional Studies seeks an Associate Director to help manage the Pre-College curriculum, instructors, and program creation. You will partner with program leadership to drive the vision of the Pre-College Program and manage the Youth in STEM initiative.

You will supervise instructors, coordinate hiring and onboarding, ensure safety compliance, and oversee partnerships with CPS, YIS, and other Columbia entities.

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience.
• Five years of teaching experience at the high school or middle school level.
• Experience working with pre-college programs at the University level.
• Master’s degree in a STEM-related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instructor management, scheduling, and quality assurance across all programs; support onboarding and safety compliance.
• Lead curriculum development, program planning, and data-driven strategic analysis for the Pre-College portfolio.
• Coordinate recruitment, student/parent engagement, and collaboration with Admissions and Alumni offices.
• Participate in budget planning, marketing collateral approval, and cross-unit partnerships.
