Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year scheduling, pre-certification, or registration experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures in line with hospital protocols and ensure accurate data entry.
• Verify insurance information, obtain pre-certification/authorization, and enter data into scheduling/registration systems.
• Answer inquiries from patients, physician offices, and payers with accurate information on scheduled services.
• Maintain communication with registration staff to manage unscheduled patients needing tests.
• Assist in pre-registration processes, including collecting demographics and insurance details.
• Document all communications related to pre-certifications, verification, and scheduling in the EMR.
• Keep up-to-date on billing procedures, insurance requirements, and regulatory policies.
