Job summary

Tigé Boats is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician for Pre-Assembly to ensure parts meet exacting standards before entering boat assembly.

You will inspect upholstery, towers, plastics, dashboards and related components, document results, and escalate issues to the Quality Engineer to prevent defects from progressing in production. The role requires reading drawings, using calipers and gauges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or manufacturing training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of QC or manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Marine, upholstery, plastics, or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong visual inspection and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read drawings, templates, and specifications; familiarity with measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Upholstery sewing inspection for strong stitching and thread tension.
  • Verify fabrics/templates, frames, foam fit before installation.
  • Inspect tower components for fit, welds, and alignment; ensure correct coatings.
  • Check plastic parts for defects and proper fit with mating components.
  • Inspect dashboards for cosmetic defects and proper mounting points.
