Job summary

Boater’s World Manufacturing Group in Chocowinity, NC is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our boat manufacturing operation. You will inspect boats, components, and processes to ensure quality before progressing in production or shipment.

This hands‑on role works with Assembly, Lamination, Gelcoat, Final Finish, Engineering, and other teams to identify defects, document concerns, and verify corrections are completed.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail to identify defects.
• Ability to read specifications, drawings, checklists and quality standards.
• Ability to read and follow quality documentation.
• Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Clear communication of quality concerns to teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and functional inspections of boats, components, and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
• Inspect completed boats prior to final release and shipment.
• Verify workmanship, fit, finish, appearance, and functionality against standards.
• Inspect fiberglass and gelcoat surfaces for defects and finish concerns.
• Identify defects and document quality concerns; communicate findings to leadership.
• Verify corrective actions are completed before products move forward in production.
• Maintain inspection records and assist with root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
