Job summary

Sea Pro Boats is seeking a Detail-oriented Sub-Assembly Technician to join our production team. You will assemble, test, and prepare subcomponents used in boat manufacturing, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You will interpret blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and conduct quality checks while collaborating with supervisors and engineers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably marine/automotive or related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boat sub-components such as electrical harnesses, fuel and steering systems, seating and trim components.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Operate hand tools and power tools and measure parts to blueprints with precision, safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with safety and 5S standards.
• Accurately record completed work, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost production efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain safety training as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
