Job summary

Carriage Services is seeking a Pre-Arranged Funeral Counselor (Outside Sales) in Virginia to build relationships with families and guide pre-need options. This role rewards a commission-driven income with earnings potential from $50,000 to $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities include meeting families, generating new business, and working independently with CRM tracking. A high school diploma, VA funeral director license, and sales experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a Virginia Funeral Director license.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience; outside sales preferred.
• Must be licensed or willing to obtain an insurance license.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• English reading/writing/speaking fluent preferred but not required.

• Generate new business through leads, referrals, and outreach.
• Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Build and maintain trusted, professional relationships with families.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer experience.

• Complete contracts, paperwork, and payments accurately and on time.

Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday with some weekends as needed)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must have a Funeral Director license in the state of Virginia.

Minimum of 2 years of sales experience. Outside sales experience is strongly preferred.

Must be licensed or willing to quickly obtain an insurance license—as required by state regulations.

Valid good standing driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently strong preferred but not required

Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
