Your responsibilities include delivering standards-aligned instruction, submitting weekly lesson plans, tracking student progress, and communicating with families. Expect 40+ hours at school per week and a collaborative, student-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience (strongly preferred).
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior within a K-12 classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement assessments to track progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed and participate in weekly meetings and school-wide functions.
