Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Pre-Analytical Assistant I in Houston, TX, Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The role supports the Technical Operations Department, learning how specimen processing and Tech Ops interact to ensure quality and timely results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimal data entry skills required.
• Medical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support functions within the Technical Operations Department.
• Learn how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing work together and impact quality.
• Identify problems with specimen types and support timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with test ordering policies and translate information as needed.
• Meet quality and production standards within 6 months of training.
• Complete required documentation clearly and on time.
• Report to work on time and support the department during coworker absences.
• Learn additional functions to progress to the next level.
