Job summary

Pinnacle GI Partners is seeking a Pre-Admissions Nurse for our surgical center in Lansing, MI. The RN will conduct nursing assessments, arrange preoperative tests, and provide patient education in alignment with facility policies and physician directives.

The role reports to the Clinical Manager. Schedule is Monday through Friday with no nights or weekends, offering competitive pay, PTO, holidays, and benefits. Prior surgical center experience and current Michigan nursing license are required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing in Michigan.
• Previous clinical or hospital nursing experience.
• Current ACLS Provider certification (or obtain within 6 months).
• Current CPR certification.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments prior to procedures, including reviewing histories and medications, and obtaining informed consent.
• Arrange preoperative diagnostic tests in line with physician orders.
• Provide educational activities in line with facility policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement approved patient education programs for the facility.
• Describe the preoperative experience to the patient and family, including expectations before, during and after procedure.
