Qualifications

Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department-captured appointments. Completes associated administrative tasks, transcribes external orders from physicians, and manages high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform all scheduling functions as needed.
  2. Exhibit excellent computer skills with the ability to self-resolve technical issues with minimal assistance.
  3. Provide patients with preparation instructions and location information.
  4. Accurately collect and input patient data into the system.
  5. Validate patient insurance and explain benefits as needed.
  6. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  7. Mentor new hires as needed.
  8. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service standards.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle and/or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services Qualified Bilingual Staff Assessment (QBS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, read information, labels, monitors, and assess customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand spoken information quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment, including frequent computer and phone use.
  • For roles requiring driving: ability to drive, see, and read traffic signs and signals.

Location: Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Work Hours: 40 hours/week

The hourly rate ranges from $18.81 to $24.26, depending on experience.
