Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department activities. Completes administrative tasks related to scheduling and transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions.
  2. Maintain excellent computer skills to resolve technical issues independently.
  3. Provide patients with appointment preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately input and validate patient data, including insurance details and benefits explanation.
  5. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  6. Mentor new hires as needed.
  7. Promote Intermountain Health's mission, vision, and values, and adhere to service standards.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • At least 2 years of revenue cycle or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services QBS assessment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading and assessing information.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment.
  • Driving requirements if applicable.

Location: Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, hourly rate $18.81 - $24.26, dependent on experience.
