Job description

Works independently, exercising good judgment and discretion whileproviding practicum and clinical placement support to the MSN,APRN, and DNP programs within the School of Nursing (SON).Interfaces with students and preceptors to maintain practicumtracking and data reporting for compliance of all doctoral-levelnursing students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists students in securing sites and preceptors forcompletion of practicum.
  • Sub-Administrator of clinical placement databases.
  • Work with students, the Director of Accreditation andState/National Compliance, and programmatic Chairs to ensurecontracts meet University regulations, student needs, andrequirements of the SON.
  • Verifies preceptor credentials, professional licenses, andqualifications.
  • Works closely with programmatic Field Director in preceptoronboarding
  • Work with preceptors to complete requirements for becomingcompliant with SON policy and State regulations.
  • Verify student compliance with CastleBranch databases. Thisincludes but is not limited to verification of background check,drug screen, FBI fingerprinting, immunizations, CPR and all otherrequirements including HIPAA and OSHA education. Also required toensure compliance of all students with practicum site requirementsand Liberty University SON are met.
  • Maintains database to generate reports each semester on StudentPlacement.
  • Maintain spreadsheets of practicum hours required/completed foreach student in doctoral-level programs and send weekly reports toprogrammatic Field Director or programmatic Chair.
  • Attends department meetings that support graduate and doctoralprograms.
  • Provide support to special projects as assigned.

Education andExperience
  • Four-year college degree, concentration in business or anotherrelated field.
  • Strong business experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, andcommunication skills required.
  • Ability to comprehend and provide solutions to complexprocesses.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills required.
  • Preferred experience working in a higher educationsetting.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills andexcellent public relations skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS OfficeProducts.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle with unrestricted Virginiadriver’s license and eligibility to become an approved LibertyUniversity driver.

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform theessential functions of this position is a climate-controlled officesetting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.

Driving Requirements

Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required fortravel in the performance of the essential functions of thisposition. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptableDMV record, and liability insurance is required.

Pay Range

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications,experience, education, skills, and certifications, along withUniversity needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarksmay be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity toensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensationstructure.

The position may also be eligible for comprehensivebenefits , including health insurance, retirement plans, andtuition assistance.

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00
