Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg seeks an experienced RN to join the New River Valley Cardiology Clinic as a full-time ambulatory nurse. You will coordinate patient care, administer treatments, and document in the EMR while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care, patient education, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives, maintaining confidentiality and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on area.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care and coordinate care delivery.
• Document care in electronic medical records and ensure accuracy.

This position is full time, working Monday-Friday 8a-5p

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing required.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.

Career Advancement Program: RNs are eligible to participate in the Career Advancement Program (CAP) to attain various levels of advancement based on performance criteria.

Compensation Range:

$27.70 - $41.55

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
