Successful candidate must be able to work any day of the week during practice hours of operation.** **All VelocityCare staff are required to float to other VelocityCare locations to assist with staffing.** The RN Velocity Care* Delivers high-quality patient care and customer service while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.* Assumes accountability for coordination and delivery of individualized patient care across all age groups.* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.* Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.* Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.* Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.* Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs and incorporates them into care plans.* Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes.* Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.* Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.* Utlizes clinical expertise in dynamic and fast-paced environments.* Implements strategies to improve patient outcomes, throughput, and resource utilization.* Serves as a role model and supports development of peers, students, and team members.* Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and adapts to changing patient care needs.* Supports orientation and training of new employees.* Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges.* Provides feedback to staff and contributes to a collaborative work environment.* Participates in unit, hospital, and system initiatives to support shared decision-making.* Supports education activities within the department.# **What We Require:****Education:** Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.**Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:** Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe.**Life Support:** AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.**Other Minimum Qualifications:** Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation.
