Carilion Clinic is seeking an RN Team Lead - Practice, Family Medicine in Floyd to provide clinical leadership and oversee patient care delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will mentor staff, coordinate care across ages, and drive quality outcomes while supporting staffing and resource planning.

The role requires a Virginia RN license, at least 1 year of clinical leadership experience, and BLS at minimum, with ACLS/PALS/NRP optional based on assignment.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical and leadership experience.
• Current BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by area.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

The RN Team Lead Practice provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes. This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and team leader to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned areas.

• Serves as a team leader, clinical resource, mentor, and role model for staff.
• Provides direct patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Leads and mobilizes the care team to support positive patient outcomes.
• Facilitates effective communication and resolves operational issues within the work group.
• Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation. Ability to manage challenging patient situations as appropriate to role.

Compensation Range: $30.47 - $45.71

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
