Job summary

PrairieCare is seeking a Practice Manager who will partner with administrators to plan and oversee professional services provided by PrairieCare Medical Group clinicians. The role focuses on recruitment, contracts, clinician training, scheduling, and data reporting to optimize productivity.

The ideal candidate has a healthcare background, 2–4 years of leadership experience, strong negotiation and mathematical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred, with related healthcare experience.
• 2 to 4 years leadership experience required.
• Strong contract negotiating skills.
• Strong mathematical skill set.
• Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with clinicians, administrators, referents and the public.
• Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint and must have exceptional skills using Excel.
• Ability to rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
• Must have a positive attitude and ability to build rapport with clinicians, staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist/partner in recruitment and retention of psychiatrists, APRNs, psychotherapists, and other clinicians.
• Manage employee contracts and serve as a liaison in negotiations, including salary language.
• Ensure clinicians are oriented and trained with required tools.
• Design and evaluate schedules, productivity models, and data analysis to optimize practices.
• Support provider schedules, documentation, and billing patterns with Site Operations Directors.
• Coordinate patient scheduling processes with Front Desk and Admissions teams.
• Oversee monthly productivity reporting (charges, RVUs, visits, CPT analyses).
• Articulate and implement PrairieCare Medical Group’s mission, vision, and values.
• Demonstrate knowledge of psychiatric and addictions treatment and support strategic plans.
• May supervise additional groups or departments as needed.
