Job summary

Computacenter (UK) Ltd seeks a Practice Manager in Norcross, GA to lead a team of about 15 project managers, delivering IT infrastructure projects with strong commercial accountability. You will work across pre-sales, professional services sales, service delivery, and service development to drive outcomes aligned with customer strategies.

You will apply governance controls, develop people, and foster a high-performance culture while advancing the practice capabilities to support business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience.
• Recent experience leading delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure projects (workplace platform) with responsibility for the commercial outcome.
• Experience applying governance and control in overseeing delivery of projects.
• Experience developing individuals and teams and a passion to enhance capability.

• Responsibility for both the delivery of customer engagements and line management of around 15 project managers (regional travel essential)

About the role

The Practice Manager role will have line management responsibility for approximately 15 project managers with full commercial and contractual responsibility for successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have an extensive track record working in pre-sales and delivering IT projects and programs. The candidate will be accustomed to collaborating with professional services sales, service delivery and service development functions. Successful candidates will directly influence the development of project delivery capabilities within the Projects Practice to successfully execute against our customer’s strategic objectives.

What you have

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 5+ years of management experience
• You must have recent experience leading delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure projects (ideally on a workplace platform on behalf of a professional service organization) with responsibility for the commercial outcome.
• You should have experience of applying appropriate governance and control in overseeing delivery of projects. You should have demonstrable evidence of developing individuals and teams and a passion to further enhance the capability of people.
