Job summary

IHA is seeking a Practice Manager to lead dyad leadership with the Lead Physician, ensuring a superior patient-centered experience and strong financial performance. You will oversee 24/7 operational leadership for designated practices and help align goals with the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing and coordinating with care management and billing teams to optimize revenue cycles. This role offers day shifts and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in healthcare administration or related field.
• Two years of leadership experience in healthcare.
• Experience planning budgets and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient accessibility and continuity of care.
• Develop operating budget with care management and leaders; adjust for positive financial outcomes.
• Provide leadership for Electronic Health Record implementation, maintenance and upgrades.
• Partner with care management and billing to ensure revenue cycle thresholds are met and coding accurate.
• Manage staff scheduling, hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring and disciplinary processes.

Position Purpose

Works in a dyad leadership role with the Lead Physician to achieve an excellent patient-centered experience, superior health outcomes and optimal financial performance in order to further the mission of the organization. Responsible for providing 24/7 leadership to support the efficient and effective operational and financial performance of the designated practices as well as supporting goals of the organization.

What The Practice Manager Will Do

• Ensures patient accessibility and continuity of care.
• Develops an operating practice budget in collaboration with the care management team, administration and other practice leaders. Accountable to make operational adjustments to achieve positive financial outcomes (i.e. Site Action Plans, Staff and Physician Productivity).
• Provides leadership for Electronic Health Record including implementation, ongoing maintenance, and upgrade process.
• Partners with the care management team and Professional Billing Team to ensure that all revenue cycle management thresholds are met. Charges are accurately coded and posted to the patient account in a timely manner (i.e. % collections, missing encounters, insurance errors report).
• Provides effective employee resource management, including appropriate staff scheduling, hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, coaching, and disciplinary processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility, experience, and education, experience in healthcare preferred.
• Two years of leadership experience
• Project management skills including the ability to implement program, project or process objectives, identify stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, coordinate and allocate human, technological and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a resourceful yet timely manner
• Ability to develop, implement and administer budgets
