Job summary

Wold Architects and Engineers, Inc. seeks a relationship-driven, experienced architect to grow the Government Architecture vertical in the Denver area. The role focuses on expanding opportunities through relationship building and thought leadership at the Practice Leader level.

Ideal candidates will have government design experience and a track record in client relationship management, with strong leadership and communication skills to guide projects and client partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in architecture including government sector.
• Professional Licensure in Architecture with Government Architecture experience.
• Experience in Client Relationship/Experience Management and/or business development with government clients.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter able to navigate beauracracies and influence decision makers.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, by e-mail and by telephone.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages a strategic relationship network and provides leadership resulting in business development in Government Architecture and increasing market share.
• Engages in business development activities to grow the practice and develop new relationships that lead to revenue and high client satisfaction.
• Responsible for client relationships from identifying challenges, partnering for a solution, funding, as well as thought and project leadership throughout a project for client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
• Acts as champion in the RFP process, partnering with internal resources to assemble responses and prepare for interviews.
• Coordinate with Marketing for conferences, client events, and project interviews.

About the Role:

Wold Architects and Engineers, a full-service architecture and engineering firm, seeks to add a relationship driven, talented, motivated, creative, experienced architect, with a focus on Government projects. This individual will focus on expanding Wold ‘s Government Architecture vertical in the Denver area, ambitiously growing business opportunities through relationship building and thought leadership at a Practice Leader level.

Strong candidates for this role will have experience and expertise in government architecture business development processes, government design, and a concentration on client experience and collaborative leadership.

Location:

This role is based in our Denver office on Platte Street, where a historic setting provides an inviting backdrop for collaboration and creative thinking.

• Independently and jointly develops and manages a strategic relationship network and provides leadership resulting in business development activities that promote partnership and total design solutions in the Government Architecture area and increasing Wold’s market share.
• Engages in various business development activities to grow the practice, maintaining and developing new relationships that lead to revenue and high client satisfaction.
• Responsible for client relationships from identifying client challenges, partnership for a solution, funding, as well as thought and project leadership throughout a project to ensure the utmost client satisfaction, and long-term relationship following the completed project.
• Acts as champion throughout the RFP process, partnering with internal resources to assembly responses and prepare for interviews as needed
• Coordinate with our Marketing team for conferences, client events, and project interviews.

Essential Qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant experience in architecture, including demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development within the government sector.
• Professional Licensure in Architecture with experience in Government Architecture.
• Experience in a Client Relationship/Experience Management and/or business development role with clients in the government sector
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to navigate complex beauracracies and influence decision makers, and a strong desire to learn
• Ability to establish and maintain strong and positive client relationships
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team with professionals at all levels
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, by e-mail and by telephone
• Must be willing to travel
