Job summary

Wold Architects and Engineers is seeking an experienced architect focused on Government projects to lead business development and client relationships from Palatine office, serving the region. The role emphasizes relationship building, thought leadership, and expanding the Government Architecture vertical with a Practice Leader level influence.

The candidate will drive client satisfaction, navigate complex government processes, and collaborate with teams across the firm to deliver total design

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive experience in architecture with demonstrated success in project delivery and client relationships in the government sector.
• Professional licensure in architecture with experience in Government Architecture.
• Experience in a Client Relationship/Experience Management and/or business development role with clients.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to navigate complex bureaucracies and influence decision makers.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships with leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently and jointly develop and manage a strategic relationship network to promote partnership and design solutions in the area.
• Engage in business development activities to grow the practice, maintaining relationships that lead to revenue and high client satisfaction.
• Manage client relationships from identifying problems to solutions funding and thought leadership throughout a project.
• Act as champion through RFP processes, partnering with internal resources to assemble responses and interviews.

Wold is seeking to add a relationship driven, talented, motivated, creative, experienced architect, with a focus on Government projects, for a full-time position.

This individual will be focused on expanding Wold 's Government Architecture vertical, ambitiously growing business opportunities through relationship building and thought leadership at a Practice Leader level.

Strong candidates for this role will have experience and expertise in government architecture business development processes, government design, and a concentration on client experience and collaborative leadership.

Location:

This role is based in our Palatine office in Chicago's northwest suburbs, connecting you with a collaborative team serving communities throughout the region.

• Independently and jointly develop and manage a strategic relationship network and provide leadership resulting in business development activities that promote partnership and total design solutions in the area and increasing Wold's market share.
• Engage in various business development activities to grow the practice, maintaining and developing new relationships that lead to revenue and high client satisfaction.
• Responsible for client relationships from identifying client problems, partnership for a solution, funding, as well as thought and project leadership throughout a project to ensure the utmost client satisfaction, and long-term relationship following the sale.
• Acts as champion throughout the RFP process, partnering with internal resources to assembly responses and prepare for interviews as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

• 10 years of progressive experience in architecture, with demonstrated success in project delivery, team development, and client relationship management within the government sector.
• Professional Licensure in Architecture with experience in Government Architecture
• Experience in a Client Relationship/Experience Management and/or business development role with clients.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to navigate complex bureaucracies and influence decision makers, and a strong desire to learn
• Ability to establish and maintain strong and positive client relationships
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team with professionals at all levels
• Strong interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, by e-mail and by telephone
