Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking a Structural Practice Lead - Buildings to guide the building structural practice across multiple offices, set strategic direction, and lead staff in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will oversee planning, analysis, design, and detailing of new structures, with a focus on transportation-related projects for state agencies and transportation authorities, while mentoring junior staff and driving business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture, MS preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive professional experience in architectural or structural design of buildings.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience on structures for state agencies and transportation authorities.
• PE or RA license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead client and contract management for structural projects.
• Provide technical oversight and design review of building structures.
• Generate new business opportunities and prepare winning proposals.
• Lead go/no go and partnering decisions on strategic pursuits.
• Oversee project scoping, budgeting, and milestones.
• Mentor junior staff and manage remote teams.
• Coordinate with architecture and MEP partners and ensure QC.
