Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Progressive experience translating strategy into execution, coordinating complex operations and annual processes, and partnering with senior business or practice leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic and operating plans, governance and review cadences, executive decision materials, performance measures, and complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in a large law firm or similarly complex global professional services organization is preferred, with ability to work across offices, regions, time zones, and travel as required.
• Working understanding of law firm or professional services operations and the ability to connect firm strategy, Practice Group priorities, practice economics, talent, client and market considerations, and operational execution.
• Ability to translate broad priorities into clear outcomes, plans, milestones, responsibilities, measures, decisions, resource requirements, and operating routines.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead complex work and onboard talent, delegate, coach, and lead effectively.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and institutional awareness when handling sensitive information.
• Strong service orientation and humility, accountability, curiosity, openness to feedback, and reliable follow-through in a high-expectation environment.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across offices, partners, staff, and leadership while respecting decision rights.

Responsibilities

• Translate firm and Practice Group priorities into practical strategic and operating plans with clear ownership, measures, and resource needs.
• Maintain executive-level view of progress and adjust plans as priorities evolve.
• Coordinate Practice Group operations and annual processes with visibility into progress, risks, and decisions.
• Support governance by structuring leadership meetings, preparing concise materials, and ensuring follow-through and escalation.
• Serve as primary integrator between Practice Group leadership and firm functions (Finance, Talent, BD, Technology, AI, Knowledge Management, Research).
• Identify barriers and risks to drive improvements and adoption of major initiatives.
• Lead the Practice Group Strategy & Operations Center of Excellence, share reusable approaches, and develop staff.
