This nine‑month, non-tenure‑track appointment begins August 2027 and focuses on laboratory‑intensive teaching, safety and maintenance of the department’s major laboratories, and industry‑engaged, practical engineering education.

Qualifications

• Earned master's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Experience in civil engineering practice, laboratory operations, or experimental testing.
• Ability to teach or train students and explain engineering concepts clearly.
• Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills; PE license or path to licensure.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple courses per semester (3-3), emphasizing laboratory-intensive instruction and design.
• Coordinate readiness and operation of departmental laboratories; maintain inventory and safety procedures.
• Contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service; support student retention and career readiness.
