Job summary

Lamar University in Beaumont, TX invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses on a semester-by-semester basis. Successful candidates will provide high-quality instruction and support student success while collaborating with department faculty.

Preferred candidates hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering; a Master's is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver assigned undergraduate and/or graduate Mechanical Engineering courses; develop instructional materials, evaluate student learning, maintain records, and submit grades.
• Maintain communication with students and the department regarding course-related matters; attend required meetings and complete administrative responsibilities.
