Job Summary

Performs administrative and clinical functions to support smooth operations under general supervision. Tasks include clerical work, patient scheduling, check-in/out duties, and related responsibilities which may vary by Department.

Essential Functions
  • Perform routine administrative and clerical duties related to clinical services or physician practices.
  • Make and maintain patient appointments.
  • Greet and assist patients.
  • Answer phones, assist callers, and schedule appointments.
  • File in patient folders, print schedules, process billing, and scan documents.
  • Coordinate medical records and lab results requests.
  • Handle mail and faxes, type forms and memos.
  • May accept co-payments and handle messages regarding authorizations, provider questions, prescriptions, and test results.
  • Act as "Super User" for scheduling, registration, and billing systems, providing training as needed.
  • Perform advanced functions such as surgical scheduling at higher competency levels.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. No experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Experience: 2-3 years office experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Office Suite and understanding of office procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time, organize, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and other physical activities with specified frequency and weight limits.
Additional Details

Remote: Onsite at 75 Francis Street, 40 hours/week, day shift, full-time.
