Job summary

Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, GA seeks a Practical Nursing Instructor to lead PN program courses, develop weekly planners, and align lessons with Student Learning Outcomes.

The position requires a BSN, a current GA PN license, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience. CPR/AED certification is required. Teaching in multiple modalities and travel to OTC locations may be needed; strong focus on student success and accreditation standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Current Practical Nurse license by the Georgia State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of full-time paid work experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing, OB, Pediatrics, office-based physician practice, hospital, nursing home, mental health facility, or public health.
• BLS for Healthcare providers (CPR & AED) certification.
• Effective verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to student success initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a weekly learning activities planner aligning with Student Learning Outcomes.
• Demonstrate clear oral and written communication in course content.
• Review and finalize syllabus and Blackboard course for student learning support.
• Evaluate students’ progress toward Student Learning Outcomes.
• Advise students on academic and occupational curricula and outcomes.
• Participate in program recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities.
• Assist in budgeting for instructional equipment and supplies.
• Engage in professional development and committee activities.
