Job summary

Ogeechee Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor to develop curriculum and present PN program instruction. The role includes preparing weekly planners, using Blackboard for course delivery, and evaluating student progress to ensure learning outcomes.

The adjunct faculty will advise students, support recruitment activities, and maintain equipment and supplies for classrooms/labs. Travel to OTC locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited college.
• Current practical nurse license by the Georgia State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics or related settings.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a weekly planner for learning activities aligned with course outcomes.
• Utilize oral and written communication skills and current clinical procedures.
• Review and finalize course syllabus and Blackboard course.
• Evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Advise students on academic and occupational curricula.
• Assist in recruitment, enrollment and retention activities for the program.
• Submit required documentation (grades, attendance) timely.
• Maintain instructional equipment and supplies; support labs.
• Participate in professional development and committee work.
• Travel to teach at various OTC locations as needed.
