The role requires NY RN licensure, active CPR/BLS, a Master’s in nursing, and 3–5 years in practical nursing education with leadership experience.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted NY RN license; eligible to practice and teach.
Active CPR/BLS certification.
Master's degree in nursing.
3–5 years of progressive nursing experience in practical nursing education.
Experience directing nursing programs or education leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and administration for the Practical Nursing Program.
Ensure compliance with state board regulations, accreditation standards, and laws.
Serve as liaison with partner academic institutions; manage reports.
Oversee curriculum, scheduling, clinical rotations, skills labs, simulations, and evaluations.
Monitor enrollment, retention, graduation, licensure outcomes, and job placement.
Lead quality-improvement using data to close gaps.
Ensure clinical sites provide appropriate learning environments.
Promote consistent grading, remediation, and progression.
Prepare students for NCLEX-PN and safe practice.
Collaborate with HR and clinical sites to coordinate student experiences.
Coach faculty and preceptors in teaching and assessment.
Plan workload and staffing for safe instruction.
Maintain placement records and compliance.
