Job summary

Mountain Gateway Community College ( MGCC ) is a two-year public institution in Virginia and a member of the Virginia Community College System. MGCC is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to perform clinical teaching and evaluation with Practical Nursing students in Med Surgical and Health Assessment.

The position requires current Virginia RN licensure, ADN, and at least two years of full-time nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ full-time nursing experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; strong organization.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgement.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical teaching and evaluation for Practical Nursing students.
• Teach in Med Surgical and Health Assessment clinical practices.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
