Job summary

Mountain Gateway Community College ( MGCC ) is a two-year public institution in Virginia and a member of the Virginia Community College System. MGCC is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to perform clinical teaching and evaluation with Practical Nursing students in Med Surgical and Health Assessment.

The position requires current Virginia RN licensure, ADN, and at least two years of full-time nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

Mountain Gateway Community College ( MGCC ) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. MGCC is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for the Spring 2027 semester term to perform clinical teaching and evaluation with the Practical Nursing students in the following clinical practices: Med Surgical and Health Assessment.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia. ADN required. A minimum of two years’ full-time work experience in the field. Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing from an accredited institution.
