Job summary

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) invites applications for qualified individuals to join its faculty to deliver high-quality instruction across classroom, laboratory, online, and clinical settings in Practical Nursing, Nurse Aide, and Medication Aide programs.

The selected candidate must reside in the (DMV) area and may be eligible for telework after one year; the position is full-time, restricted, with funding dependent on year-to-year appropriations and college needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years teaching in a nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Active, unexpired Commonwealth of Virginia licensure as a registered nurse with no restrictions.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time direct nursing care experience in the clinical setting.
• Demonstrated clinical competence across multiple patient populations and settings.
• Ability to work at all campus, site, and clinical locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction through classroom, laboratory, online, and clinical settings.
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program improvement; maintain office hours; advise students; partner with clinical sites.
• Contribute to program planning, accreditation activities, and regulatory compliance.
