Summary

The Western New York VA Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work on the PACT Team at the Buffalo Location.

The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the registered nurse, providing a full range of practical nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems.

Duties

The LPN supports the LIFT team by responding to calls during business hours, championing outpatient services and campus grounds at Buffalo, and assisting with vaccinations and NP swabs, including curbside testing for illnesses like COVID-19, Influenza, RSV, and Measles.

Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing holistic care, performing routine treatments, administering medications, and assisting in emergency situations, including CPR.

Work Schedule

Full-Time, Variable Day Tour.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Pass drug screening and background checks.
• Proficient in English.
• Complete online onboarding and provide valid ID.

Qualifications

Must have completed an approved nursing program, hold an active, unrestricted license, and meet experience requirements for the desired grade level.

Physical and Education Requirements

Includes lifting, standing, and environmental adaptability. Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
