Job summary

Oklo is hiring a Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineer to join our fast reactor design team. The role focuses on conducting probabilistic risk analyses, developing event and fault trees, and quantifying event sequence probabilities to guide design improvements for reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a technical engineering degree, familiarity with PRA techniques, and strong communication skills to support licensing and documentation activities.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar.
• Familiarity with PRA techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop probabilistic risk analysis models for fast reactor designs.
• Analyze event sequences and compile risk insights with engineering teams.
• Evaluate external hazards using PRA techniques.
• Incorporate risk insights into design to improve reliability and safety.
• Support licensing activities through technical reports and analyses.
