Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Cryptographic Agility & PQC Engineer to shape enterprise cryptographic modernization and prepare for quantum threats. You will partner across cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, PKI, and infrastructure teams to establish a formal cryptographic agility capability and ensure secure migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, encryption, PKI, or related areas.
• Experience with cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and security controls.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed application architectures.
• Familiarity with post-quantum concepts and risk assessments.
• Experience supporting security compliance frameworks and audits.
• Scripting or automation skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java, C#, or Go.
• Experience with IaC and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Harness.

Responsibilities

• Mature the enterprise cryptographic agility program and align with standards.
• Maintain inventory of cryptographic assets, dependencies, and keys.
• Identify systems with deprecated crypto and plan migrations.
• Evaluate PQC standards and NIST-approved algorithms.
• Define migration paths and implementation guidance for teams.
• Collaborate across architecture, PKI, and infrastructure teams.
• Pilot PQC-enabled technologies to support enterprise adoption.
• Develop guidance supporting cryptographic agility and quantum readiness.
• Monitor cryptography landscape and regulatory expectations.
• Produce metrics and dashboards tracking cryptographic risk and progress.
