Job summary

Oxoid Remel Microbiology, acquired from Thermo Fisher Scientific, seeks a PPI Business System Specialist II at our Lenexa site to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives. You will partner with site teams and leaders to advance a culture of improvement that enhances safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and the customer and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree plus 1 year of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus 3 years in continuous improvement.
• Preferred fields: Engineering, Science, Operations, Business, or related.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Formal project management training desirable.
• Experience with Lean and PPI tools including value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, visual management, root cause analysis, daily management, and kaizen.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support lean management systems across the Lenexa site.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate kaizen events.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
• Help teams apply PPI tools and use data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Build capability through practical training and coaching.
• Improve operational performance and sustain process improvements.
• Lead defined improvement projects and support larger cross-functional initiatives.
• Continue developing PPI and Lean capabilities.
