Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of lean tools including value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, standard work, and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and Kaizen events.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
• Project management capabilities to guide initiatives from conception through implementation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with change management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• GMP knowledge and quality systems preferred.
• Track record of measurable operational improvements and cost savings.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.

As a PPI Business System Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will support continuous improvement initiatives and develop a culture of operational excellence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will manage process improvement projects that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer experience. You will facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other lean methodologies while providing training and support to develop continuous improvement capabilities across the organization. Requirements:

Strong knowledge of lean tools including value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, standard work, and root cause analysis

Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and Kaizen events

Project management capabilities to guide initiatives from conception through implementation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations

Ability to develop and deliver training/coaching on continuous improvement methods

Experience with change management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality systems preferred

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities

Education:

Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience implementing process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)

Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Business, Science, Operations Management, or related field

Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred

PPI Business System certification/training preferred
