Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Power Purchase professional to coordinate, negotiate, and manage long-term PPAs, optimizing the company’s power supply portfolio and ensuring regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

You will support procurement and contract administration, analyze pricing, prepare summaries, and work with legal and PP leadership to mitigate risk while maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships. Hybrid work model with onsite presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, finance or similar.
• Experience in energy procurement, trading, scheduling, or regulatory issues is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate PPAs and contract changes with guidance from PP leadership.
• Administer and manage all aspects of PPAs, including billing, deposits, insurance, and notifications.
• Analyze proposals and contracts, prepare summaries, and review pricing for accuracy and risk.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain required approvals before execution.
• Draft and execute internal and external correspondence on contractual matters.
