Daimler Truck North America is seeking a seasoned engineer-leader for the Detroit Powertrain Test Center. You will supervise union staff, oversee test cell setup, and drive powertrain validation for conventional and alternative powertrains.

Role focuses on coordinating fabrication, testing, and engineering collaboration across teams to meet technical specifications and budget constraints. Strong leadership and safety compliance are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (ABET Accredited).
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• 1-2 years of project leadership.
• Technical knowledge in diesel engine performance testing and test cell setup.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Support performance operations and testing for powertrain validation.
• Develop continuous improvement initiatives, processes and tools.
• Create and oversee engineering projects, timelines and budgets.
• Troubleshoot test cell operation and data quality issues.
• Ensure safety procedures and 5S adherence; manage staffing and overtime.
• Collaborate with product teams and lab support to meet KPI targets.
