Job summary

Roush is seeking a Powertrain Test Engineer I to support the development and execution of powertrain and vehicle testing. The role ensures testing aligns with approved procedures and customer requirements, with mentorship from experienced team members on project work and client interactions.

The position emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and clear technical communication across multiple departments, contributing to robust project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering is required.
• Strong hands-on mechanical background is required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support multiple engineering and testing projects for a variety of customers.
• Coordinate internal support activities across CAD Services, Testing, Machine Shop, Engine Build, Fabrication, Garage Services.
• Perform engine dynamometer and vehicle-based testing and diagnose hardware/control issues.
• Analyze test data from dynamometer test cells and ECU.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for status reviews and project sign-off.
• Manage inventory of engine/vehicle components and related test hardware.
• Support component and system design activities as needed.
