Job summary

RENK America seeks a Test Engineer to design, develop and execute test plans for diesel engines, cross drive transmissions and other powertrain equipment at our Muskegon, Michigan location.

Key duties include deriving test specifications, maintaining data acquisition software, planning tests, writing procedures, and presenting results to customers. The role requires strong problem solving, teamwork and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Software Engineering with 2 years related experience.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with test equipment and data acquisition.
• Experience with LabVIEW and OPTO 22 software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Derive and verify customer test specifications.
• Maintain software for test data acquisition and plotting.
• Plan and conduct tests of Diesel Engines, Cross drive transmissions, and other Powertrain equipment.
• Design and specify control systems for test cells and fixtures.
• Prepare test documentation and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with internal test customers and technicians.
