Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead FEPT powertrain projects. You will manage schedules, budgets, and technical content while guiding cross‑functional teams across locations.

The role interfaces with Detroit, Cummins, and other powertrain suppliers, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and basic AI skills to drive efficiency in project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or 5+ years relevant experience
• Self-motivated, proactive leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Basic AI skills to drive efficiency into project management tasks
• Ability to independently lead cross-functional project teams
• Demonstrated skills in project management processes
• Knowledge of Powertrain, cab and chassis systems, electrical design, or vehicle software
• Knowledge of product development processes and experience preparing and presenting

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead product projects with schedules, budgets, and technical content
• Provide leadership to cross-functional departments on project topics
• Coordinate and facilitate status reviews, design reviews, and mockup reviews
• Work with Engineering to ensure tasks are on time and within budget
• Identify risks and report through project status and Quality Gate reporting
• Support the DTNA Visual Management process
• Track and report project performance against targets
• Address change requests in a timely manner
